Installation Nation
We're pleased to present our new event, Installation Nation. We're inviting all contemporary artists with experience in creating installation art to submit proposals for consideration. We'll select ten projects and give them each $500 to create their vision within the confines of a metal storage container. Applications are available now. You have until Tuesday, April 26, to submit them to us.
- Think you have a great installation idea? Download an application here.
A Grassroots Effort
Primary Colours was founded as a grassroots organization, a collection of volunteers uniting to create innovative showcases for emerging visual artists, to enlighten audiences, and to provide professional development for local artists.
On our Facebook Cause page, we set a goal to raise just $1,000 by our first event on June 5. Your gift is tax deductible, gives you a warm and fuzzy feeling supporting local arts, and gets you free tickets and invites to special events.
As times get tough, spending each dollar becomes much more a conscious decision. Your donation to Primary Colours helps support the local economy directly. The programs we provide help create culture and attract worldwide audiences, which attracts companies and employees, which feeds the economy. Think of it as "trickle up economics."
You can also give online at our Web site via PayPal. Or send to Primary Colours. 212 W. 10th Street, Suite A380, Indianapolis, IN. 46202 Your support is greatly appreciated!

Canvassing First Friday
If you're out and about this Friday (and why wouldn't you be), make sure to check out the opening of board member Brian Myers' show "Liberation" at ArtBox (map).
We'll be gallery hopping all night. Be sure to say hello when you see us out. Here are some highlights among many:
New (Media) Frontiers
Last month, we told you we'd been tinkering with the PC Web site. Lo and behold, our new blog is up and running! We've been loading it with essential content from our old Web site, and going forward we'll be populating it with new profiles, video from First Fridays and events, interactive questions, and Twitter feed. Do you have anything you're itching to see? Let us know!
- Check out the new PC blog here.
On The Cusp's Art Survey
The good folks at On The Cusp are conducting a comprehensive survey about the arts in Indianapolis. You can take it online until April 10. Your 15 minutes will help expand and improve the local arts scene.
