Site-Specific Surprises
Excitement is building for our new show, Installation Nation. The following artists will be building as well, constructing their installation art within the confines of five 40-foot metal shipping containers:
Admission is $5. Kids under 12 get in free. Hours are 6-11 p.m. both nights. We'll be selling food and beverages at the event.
Location, Location, Location
Installation Nation marks the tenth event that Primary Colours has hosted in a donated, vacant space. However, this is the first event that takes place outside. The good folks at Lockerbie Park have donated the lot.
- Installation Nation will take place on the lot located on the northwest corner of N. College Ave. & E. Michigan St. (map)
We'll have tents set up around the shipping containers. Because this is an outdoor event, the gravel lot may pose difficulty for some of our patrons with limited mobility. The condos will host an open house from 5-7 p.m. during the event.
Music Lineup
Audio Reconnaissance presents the following music for this year's Installation Nation:
Friday, June 5th
- Twin Peaks (DJ)
- Mystikos Quintet (electronic music)
- Ben Ishmael Revival (live band)
Saturday, June 6th
Call for Volunteers
We could use some help during the event in the following areas:
Front table
- Tour guides
- ID-checkers
- Merch sales
- Clean-up
- Servers
If you'd like to help volunteer for Installation Nation, contact Brian Myers.
