Allotropy: By definition, allotropy means “the existence of a substance in two or more different forms, usually in the same phase.” This distinctive two-day art and music showcase brings together disparate media in the same donated space, connecting emerging artists with new audiences. Art vs. Art: This truly unique art competition featuring side-by-side face-offs between same-day created paintings. The winner is determined by audience vote; the loser faces the “Wheel of Death” unless someone’s generous purchase can save the painting from a ruinous fate. LEARN MORE >>

Toys: An invitational exhibition of art fashioned around the theme of toys. The artists are free to interpret the theme as they see fit. LEARN MORE >>

Professional Development Series: A series of free workshops sponsored with the Arts Council of Indianapolis and designed specifically for the emerging career artist. Students can learn from industry experts on how to deal with tax issues, basic business practices and copyright issues. They also learned how to photograph better slides for submissions, compose crisp artist statements for shows and write effective grant proposals. In 2005, Primary Colours co-organized and facilitated four workshops, with the Indianapolis Arts Council. LEARN MORE >>
