| TOYS 2007 | FRI. DEC. 7

This year’s art showcase took take place at Gallery No. 2 at the Harrison Center for the Arts (1505 North Delaware St., Indianapolis) on December 7, 2007. The event exhibited art fashioned around the theme of toys, and invited artists were free to interpret the theme as they saw fit.

The following artists produced artwork for this year’s exhibition:

Mike Altman  Ryan Alvis Stan Blevins Adam Brouillette
Lendell Ervin II Chris Foster Blythe Hager Elizabeth Guipe Hall
Mike Akira Litzau Ben Long Kipp Normand Brose Partington
Heidi Pearson Brian Priest Andy Short Brian Short
Kelsey Smith Charlie Spear Dan Thompson Sarah Zuckerman

Exhibiting artists produced one work apiece and kept all of the proceeds they received from the sale of their art.

The free event coincided with the IDADA (Indianapolis Downtown Artists and Dealers Association) First Friday Art Tour. This year, Primary Colours teamed up with Second Helpings (www.secondhelpings.org) and asked attendees to bring dry pasta that volunteers collected at the door.

“Second Helpings provides a valuable service to the community in its mission to eliminate hunger,” said Primary Colours board member Hugh Vandivier. "They’ve told us that they consistently need more donations of dry pasta, so we asked our patrons to bring some along to the show. We were thrilled with the response. ”
